Unibet Mobile App. Unibet offers no mobile compatibility whatsoever at this early stage. The Unibet website states mobile apps for iOS and Android users are in development now, but no timeline is given. How to Download the App – Android and iOS

The Unibet mobile platform has been constructed by a brand that has more than 20 years of experience in the industry. There are many key features that set the Unibet mobile app apart from the rest, but first we will discuss how to actually get the app in the first place. This app is actually available for both iOS and Android, so we will take a quick look at both.

To get the Unibet app iOS version, you must open up the app store from your mobile device. After doing this, search for Unibet and be sure to download the sportsbook app. Unibet has a couple of apps to download, so double check that you are downloading the one for sports.

This is clearly quite simple if you have an iOS device, but you must download the app in a slightly different way for Android. Since Google Play no longer permits apps that are of a gambling nature in the app store, you must visit the Unibet.com mobile site instead. We have identified the answers to the question – how to download Unibet app below in our step-by-step guide.

  • Open up the Unibet mobile site from your Android device
  • Push the Android icon that can be seen on the home page
  • Trust the Unibet file to permit download
  • Login / create your account to start betting

Android users need not worry that this is a different process, for the Unibet Android app operates in the same way as the iOS app. And now that you know how to get the app onto your mobile device, it’s time to look behind the reasons for all the hype surrounding the Unibet app.

Unibet Mobile Betting Guide

Sports bet on Mobile

Now we are getting into the real reason that Unibet is popular with Australians – for their intense sports betting offerings. The first alarming (in a good way!) factor of the sportsbook with Unibet is just how competitive the odds can be for some of the sports. More specifically, some of the odds provided for basketball and soccer are some of the best seen in Australia. This, of course, creates perceived value right off the bat.

The Unibet sports betting app provides so much more than just attractive odds too. Check out this list of the most popular sports/leagues below:

  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Ice Hockey
  • American Football
  • Basketball
  • Cricket

The reason that these are the most popular sporting events is because of the total coverage, as well as the depth of markets seen with these events.

The markets seen with this Unibet betting app are extensive for several events. For example, the Australian A-League displays over 250 different markets for their soccer games. This is huge by any bookmaker’s standards, and the variety of bets is remarkable. This isn’t just true for soccer either, for we have witnessed over 100 markets for NFL and over 150 markets for NBA games.

This is sure to keep Unibet customers entertained all year round, and this is one of the major reasons why Unibet has become such a prestigious bookmaker in Australia. But there’s more to the Unibet platform than just the sportsbook depth.

Live Broadcast on Mobile

After completing the Unibet sports betting app download, you have already opened up a wealth of opportunities to enhance your Unibet experience. And as you may have guessed, live streaming is not only available with Unibet – it offers enormous coverage!

They cover NBA games, soccer games from around the globe, NFL games, NHL games and Australian favourites like cricket and rugby. We could go on and list the full range, but then we would be looking at a list that covers more than 30,000 events annually.

There are no discrepancies between the Unibet app Android live streaming or the iOS app, which adds to the professionalism. And when we examine the quality of this stream, things get even better.

Yes it isn’t quite like watching a game in HD on a huge TV, but the graphics and performance are great. You can also easily toggle between the live stream and the live betting section too, which allows for quick betting and enhanced opportunities.

And wait – there is even more to come! The Unibet Australia app provides other features for sports bettors to get their teeth into.

Cash Out

While cash-out can be done on the desktop site as well, the nature of ‘cashing out’ a bet requires a player to be on the move the majority of the time. So after completing the Unibet app download, you have set yourself up to cash out wherever you may be.

And Unibet offers some of the best cash-out options seen with any other Australian bookmakers, not to mention that this has been fully integrated into the mobile app. You can cash out parlay bets, single bets, in-play bets and even tournament outright bets that may have been placed well in advance. To do this is really simple too – just visit the ‘my bets’ link to see if you can lock in some quick profits.

Unibet App Conclusion: Recommended

The range of sports combined with incredible live streaming coverage is what makes the Unibet app so immense. The fact that the Unibet app for Android is exactly the same as iOS and desktop sites too is a major positive too. Android users are sometimes overlooked, but Unibet has invested into the development of each of these platforms.

Some may be frustrated by the process to complete the Unibet app for Android download, but this is unfortunately out of Unibet’s hands. The Google Play store has taken a strong stance on banning ‘betting apps’, and the Android download still takes just a few minutes.

So in conclusion, Australia bettors will no doubt love this mobile app whether they have an Android or iOS device. And they can rest easy knowing that all of the Australian classics such as cricket, rugby, Aussie rules, soccer and tennis are all readily accessible. The Unibet app is really setting the standard for the rest of the industry, and they will no doubt develop their apps more in the future.

If you want to learn more about Unibet and the features it offers for Australian punters then check this article.

Unibet is one of the biggest online bookmakers on the planet, serving millions of punters every single year. However, as you’ve probably learned by now, size means nothing! Being a big name does not mean they are any good.

Our Rating: (1.2 / 5)

The truth is that despite their long-standing history, recently I’ve found a lot of players voicing concerns about the site. So in this Unibet app review, I’m going to give you an idea of what to expect when betting there – and why you should strongly consider not betting at Unibet.

Key Features

One of the biggest complaints I came across online when looking at player’s experiences at Unibet is the bet-limiting measures the bookie appears to implement on punters. It’s completely normal for bookmakers to reduce the amount of money punters can wager on events, if that punter has been winning a lot of money.

However, many bettors at Unibet appear to have had their accounts severely limited for winning nominal amounts of money. For example, one complaint read that a bettor was only allowed to wager $1 or less – because they won $130 on another bet. What’s worse, when they voiced their concerns to Unibet they were given the hand – they weren’t willing to look into the case and consider revoking the limit.

This seems to be a really common theme at Unibet, and there are hundreds of punters voicing similar concerns online. Also worrying is the number of bettors stating Unibet are deliberately stalling their withdrawals. Later on in this review I’m going to be taking a closer look at this – I strongly suspect it has something to do with the so-called SOW (Source of Wealth) requests.

Website / App Design & Ease Of Use

As much as I don’t like the site, one thing I can’t really fault Unibet on is their website’s layout and ease of use. Everything is pretty well laid out, and navigation around the different markets is as simple as possible.

I think the biggest issue I have with the layout is the live betting/in-play section. The events are displayed in a way that makes it quite confusing – and if you’re in a rush (which I find is all too often the case when placing in-play bets) it can all get a bit confusing.

There’s also a downloadable Unibet app which is available to iOS and Android users. It’s free to download – but to be honest it’s not too different from their mobile-optimized website. Both the mobile app and the mobile-optimized website work pretty well – but it’s not the fastest, and creating an account on the mobile app could definitely be easier.

Software

Unibet’s sports betting software appears to be proprietary. However, if you play in their online casino you’ll be played on Playtech’s platform – one of the world’s largest iGaming companies.

Choice of Betting Markets

App

Unibet offers quite a large selection of betting markets, and you’ll be able to place bets on: American Football, Athletics, Australian Football, Badminton, Bandy, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Chess, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Entertainment, Floorball, Football, Formula 1, Futsal, Golf, Greyhounds, Handball, Horse Racing, Ice Hockey, MMA, Martial Arts, MotoGP, Motor Sports, Olympic Games, Politics, Rugby, Snooker, Speedway, Surfing, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Water Polo, Winter Sports, and Baseball.

Unibet Mobile App

I think it’s fair to say Unibet’s sports offering is good – but one area where they could improve is the quality of their odds. If you compare their odds to other major bookmakers – time and time again, you’ll find that Unibet’s odds are worse. This seems to be particularly prevalent with football and horse racing.

Banking – Deposit/Withdrawal Options

When it comes to depositing and withdrawing, Unibet offers far fewer payment methods than I would have expected to see at a global bookie. Currently, players can deposit and withdraw using VISA, MasterCard, Skrill, Neteller, Webmoney, ecoPayz, paysafecard and – in some countries – Instant Banking.

App

There are no fees attached to depositing, and funds are credited to your player account instantly.

On the face of it, Unibet’s withdrawal structure looks attractive. They have a huge daily withdrawal limit of $/£250,000 – more than most people will ever need to withdraw. However, my main concern arises when you look at the speed at which they are processing withdrawals.

Three or four years ago, I remember reading that Unibet was processing withdrawals incredibly quickly – often in as little as a few hours. However, a quick glance online shows this just isn’t the case anymore – and some bettors are being made to wait days or weeks for their withdrawals to be processed.

What’s worse, many of these bettors are being made to undergo extremely stringent SOW checks. This requires them to upload proof of their income – as part of the UK Gambling Commission’s new commitment to ensuring players are gambling within their means.

Unfortunately, the rules are very unclear – and some online gambling sites are choosing to take a heavy-handed approach. What’s worse is that Unibet is asking players to provide this information only when making a withdrawal. They are happy for players to deposit as much money as they like – but when it comes to withdrawing, players must undergo these checks.

This alone is enough for me to recommend you stay well away from Unibet. Here at Mobile Betting Site you’ll find information about tons of reputable, fast-paying bookmakers – so make sure you take a look around and read our in-depth reviews.

Safety and Security

Unibet holds two online gambling licenses, one from the UK Gambling Commission and one from the Maltese Gaming Authority. This is promising, at least, as both of these operators are known for ensuring licensees are adhering to laws and regulations. Don’t forget though; just because Unibet are holding a license, it doesn’t mean they’re treating their customers fairly.

In 2019 Platinum Gaming Ltd, who own Unibet, were made to pay a fine of £1.6m for failing to identify gambling harm and prevent money laundering.

Whenever I see actions like this taken against a site for anything to do with failing to protect vulnerable people, or helping to fund organised crime through money laundering, it is a major red flag for me and I will never bet with a site that does this.

In terms of their website’s safety and security I was happy to see their SSL certificate is valid and up-to-date. This ensures bettor’s sensitive information is safe and secure. That’s fine, but doesn’t do anything to mitigate the other issues.

Customer Service/Support

Like most of the larger bookmakers I come across, Unibet offers three ways for customers to get in touch with their customer support team; live chat, email and phone. Their support centre is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week too, so if you do run into problems (and that’s quite likely!) you should be able to speak to someone no matter what time of day it is.

Personally, I’d always recommend you get in touch using the live chat facility. This will connect you with one of the customer support reps in just a minute or two. If you decide to go ahead and email them, be prepared to wait between 24-48 hours. Their email response times are poor, and this support option should only be used as a last resort.

Currencies

Unibet does actually offer a decent selection of currencies. This includes BRL, CHF, CZK, DKK, EUR, GBP, HUF, LTL, NOK, PLN, RON, SWK, and USD.

Allowed Countries

Unibet restricts players from the following countries from placing bets at their site: Afghanistan, Australia, Denmark, Estonia, Ethiopia, France and other French territories, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, North Korea, Pakistan, Philippines, Portugal, Spain, Syria, Turkey, Romania, Ireland, United States of America and other U.S. territories, and Yemen.
